本日は、桑名駅の旧駅舎最終日でした。
近鉄、JR、養老鉄道が交わる駅（近くに三岐鉄道北勢線の西桑名駅もあり）であり、 改札を共有しているという変わった特徴もあります。 （養老鉄道は中間改札有り） 近鉄とJR間は改札無しで乗り換えられますが、乗り間違えによるトラブルも時々起きていました。 そして自由通路がないため駅の東西を行き来したい場合入場券を買うか付近の踏切を渡る必要があり地元の人には不便な要素もありました。 改善要望は前々からありましたが、ようやくといったところです。 近鉄桑名（西口）の平屋駅舎。 近鉄とJRのICカードの乗り換え改札。 日本一広い改札と言われることも。ただし本日限り。 JR側（東口）。 J 多くの人が写真を撮っていました。 旧駅舎、半世紀の間ありがとうございました。 PR |
